Who we are
The National
Insurance Company, with continuous and uninterrupted operation for 130 years, was founded on June 15, 1891 (Government Gazette No.177/22.06.1891) with the National Bank of Greece as main shareholder and with the participation of the Bank of Constantinople, the Privileged Bank of Epirus-Thessaloniki, the General Credit Bank of Greece and the Industrial Credit Bank. Today, National Insurance Company under the distinctive name of A.E.E.G.A. “ETHNIKI” is a member of one of the largest and most powerful financial services groups in Greece.
