Who are we
Odyssey Sailing is a family owned boat rental company based in Volos*, an important commercial city in central mainland Greece, surrounded by the beautiful waters of the Bay of Volos (Pagasitikos) and close to the islands of Sporades (Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos and smaller islands of the national marine park), the Pelion peninsula and the island of Evia. The region was made famous by the film musical Mamma Mia, which was shot in these parts. Now with regular flights from many European cities direct to Volos airport and an increasing number of idyllic anchorages and serene bays, more and more people are discovering this relatively unspoilt and pleasant sailing area. For those flying via Athens, Thessaloniki or Skiathos we can arrange direct transfers to the port. We were one of the first boat owners to offer commercial yachts from Volos in the early 90s. Odyssey Sailing opened in 2001 and is licensed and bonded by EOT: The Greek Ministry of Tourism, and we are a member of the Hellenic Yacht Brokers Association (HYBA.gr). As yacht brokers, we work directly with individual yacht owners who meet our high standards of quality and reliability. All yachts are individually inspected, maintained and licensed as professional charter yachts. As boat owners, we know what makes a quality yacht and what it takes for a great vacation. We always aim to provide our guests with a personal service that ensures an unforgettable sailing holiday. We love to include your thoughts, comments and photos in our guest album and comment pages. Greeks have a reputation for good hospitality, which we should live up to. * In Greek mythology, the ambitious Jason set out on his journey to find the golden fleece from Volos on his ship, the Argo, which appears on our logo.
