Yachting Volos “trembles the waters” Yachting Volos Marine Tourism and Gastronomy

With great response, enthusiasm and feverish processes, Yachting Volos: Marine Tourism and Gastronomy is preparing to set sail from the port of Volos on 14-17 October 2021. As a reminder, the big event of Magnesia for yachting and gastronomy was planned to take place in May 2020 and of course was postponed due to the restrictive measures to stop the transmission of the coronavirus.

The event has been warmly received with many exhibitors having already secured their presence at the major event for Yachting and Gastronomy in Volos which marks, among other things, the gradual return to normality.

The visitors of Yachting Volos: Marine Tourism and Gastronomy will have the opportunity to board boats of all kinds, to be informed about the details of either acquiring a private boat or chartering a professional boat, with or without crew, to get to know new products, to taste local delicacies and spirits, but also to participate in the events organized within the framework of the exhibition with the main purpose of promoting the tourism of the region. Marine Tourism and Yachting companies will be presented, companies with products that cooperate with Yachting, companies with traditional local products. B2B meetings will be held with entrepreneurs and bloggers, who will meet with Yachting professionals. During the exhibition there will be Conference Events, for professionals and the public.

Yachting Volos. The event was sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy, the Volos Port Authority, the Association of Owners of Professional Tourist Boats of Thessaly “ARGO”, the Association of Hoteliers of Magnesia Prefecture, the Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce of Thessaly and the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Volos, with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce of Thessaly, the Association of Owners of Tourist Buses and OfficesMagnesia” and the Network of Island Chambers of the European Union (INSULEUR)“, notes George Karachristos General Manager of Mact Media Group, which has designed and undertaken the implementation of Yachting Volos: Marine Tourism and Gastronomy.

The exhibition will be held at the port of Volos, aiming to contribute to the promotion of the region and to stimulate entrepreneurship.

On the days of the event, a conference will be held on the theme “Marine Tourism – Gastronomy and Development Prospects in Thessaly“. It is also planned to hold a conference on “Comparative advantages of Gastronomy and Wine in Thessaly and its development into a gastronomic destination“. The two conferences will be attended by academics, representatives of local government and local bodies, professionals and others.
